The Union-Snyder Agency on Aging Foundation, Inc.
A 501(C)(3) organization was established in 1999 with a volunteer Board of Directors chosen from the community and approved by the Boards of Commissioners. The Executive Director also serves on the Board. The purpose of the Foundation is to increase the resources available to the Union-Snyder AAA. It has advised AAA staff on resource development, managed donations for the Senior Olympics, and spearheaded a community effort to recruit churches and other groups to sponsor home delivered meal clients who were on the AAA waiting list. One of the first tasks of the U/S AAA, Inc. Board will be to ensure that the role of the Foundation is coordinated and complementary to that of the new governing board. |
