Union-Snyder Agency on Aging (USAA) Foundation
Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) organization established in 1999 with a volunteer Board of Directors chosen from the community and approved by the Boards of Commissioners in Union and Snyder Counties. The Executive Director of Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, Inc. also serves on the USAA Foundation Board.
The purpose of the Foundation is to increase the resources available to the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging (USAA), Inc. It has advised USAA, Inc. staff on resource development, managed donations for the Senior Olympics, and spearheaded a community effort to recruit churches and other groups to sponsor home delivered meal consumers who were on the USAA, Inc. waiting list.
One of the primary tasks of the USAA, Inc. Board will be to ensure that the role of the Foundation is coordinated and complementary to that of the new governing board.
